It's cute and functional! The top compartment will fit a hefty sandwich on bread with standard loaf proportions. It fits a simple PB & jelly with room to spare, so it will hold something with more fillings as well. It would also be a good compartment to stick something like a burrito or some chicken, etc. The lower half of the lunchbox has 3 different compartments that can hold generous servings of sliced fruits, veggies, nuts, crackers, etc. There is a removable circular container that can hold yogurt or hummus or a small serving of soup. Removing the container will give you another compartment to fit even more food! It cleans well and stays firmly locked. Honestly, having a cute lunch system makes eating food more fun. Something about the aesthetics of the experience, I suppose. My daughter keeps wanting to take it to school instead of her normal lunchbox, but I don't think it would handle the rough-and-tumble environment of the elementary school lunchbox bin everyone has to toss their lunchboxes into. This is a "keep it in your backpack/bag/hands" kind of lunchbox.

This is a great little lunch/snack holder. It’s great for packing up for preschool or kindergarten. I like the separate areas of the container. Each item has its own area! The top portion is big enough for a sandwich. It comes with a spork and a separate bowl that can hold hot or cold items. It cleans up really quickly and keeps a seal when it’s closed.
