My 9-year-old foster son purchased this as a reward, but was quickly disappointed when, shortly after using it, the car started making a grinding noise. He was playing with his RC and enjoying it greatly until it hit a curb, which seemed to damage it beyond repair. So, unless you have a precision driver, you may want to opt for something more sturdy.
