Measure your old blade using a soft cloth measuring tape: Uncoil the blade carefully, then press the tape tightly along the back edge of the blade and measure its full length. 4. Measure on the floor: Mark a starting point on the blade and on the floor, roll the blade in a straight line until the starting point touches the floor again. Measure the distance between the two points. 5. Cut the blade in half and lay it flat on a level surface to measure its length accurately.
