At 6.5 feet , it's a good pole spear and you can break it down to a shorter spear for lionfish which is a plus. If your not wearing gloves when hunting, it would be wise to get a pole spear grip, because the aluminum gets a little slick when wet. The pronged spear it comes with is decent, however; I prefer a regular spear with a single flopper. definitely not a deal breaker. Now, the carry bag that accompanies it could be designed stronger. It's a light cloth-like material, but for the price, it works ok. If your handy at sewing, you can make yourself a well built carry bag. All in all, It is a well built pole spear and I would definitely recommend it.
