I was seeking a nice-looking chest for my living room to store my hand weights and other exercise "stuff" in. I got this on sale for $57.99, and it was a great deal! It arrived very well packaged. Every piece was in perfect condition. All parts were labeled. And the assembly instructions are the best I have ever seen. It took me about an hour to assemble, and I did need a second pair of hands at the last stage to hold the lid while I put on the hinges. It looks great and is very sturdy. Keep in mind, this is not fine furniture. It is made of MDF board. But the metal detailing and the finish make it look very appropriate next to the stone hearth in my my log home. My only disappointment is that the item description says it will hold 180 lbs inside. But the label on the bottom of the chest says not to exceed 100 lbs. My weights total 90-95 lbs, so I am going to put a piece of wood underneath to support the base. Other than that, it's great. I might get another to use a toy chest for the grandkids!
