What I expected and more'

Pros: Durable, Nice Bokeh, Fast / accurate auto-focus, Easily Interchangeable, Consistent Output Cons: Other thoughts: The Tamron 28-75mm lens takes great pictures and is everything I expected and more. I use this lens for portraits, low light situations (the constant 2.8 apperature is the deal maker), and when I need a quick auto focus. I also use the Tamron 18-270mm lens, which is great for travel and all around use, but slow auto focus from about 150-270mm. and MANY times won't focus at all-especially in low light, causing me to miss many shots- switching to manual focus. I really appreciate the Tamron 28-75mm quick auto focus- especially in low light situations. (Hoping for a 18or24mm-85or100mm lens with a constant 2.8 and quick focus for under $1000.-- DREAM ON!)

Almost as good as Canon 'L'...

Pros: Consistent Output, Nice Bokeh, Strong Construction, Fast / accurate auto-focus Cons: Other thoughts: This is a great lens if you are looking to move up from the 'kit' lenses that come with the Canon consumer and prosumer models. Essentially the Tamron is very close to the Canon L lens for about a third of the cost. My copy is clean and sharp and autofocus is good in most instances with the only issues being noted in really poor light.Overall I am very happy with this lens and would recommend it as a smart purchase.[...]
