I now understand why the reviews say its very low. We're short people so the low setting of the sectional is fine. I've struggled to decide if I really like the modular or not. I think overall my thought it, "meh, it's ok". I am not very handy so it took me about an hour to assemble. There are a lot of boxes and a lot of cardboard that needs to be disposed of. I would say to unpack everything, cut up the cardboard and clean up also took about an hour. As mentioned, the seconal is very low sitting. There is a lot of disposable plastic and cardboard to deal with. The price was very reasonable (in my opinion). I shopped around quite a bit and this modular seems worth the price paid after being able to utilize it for several months. Comfort? I'm still in an average mode. Is it uncomfortable? No. Would I call it comfortable? No. I am 5'5", 130 pounds and I don't think I'd like to sleep or nap on the modular. One reason is the modular is not very wide, so I don't think it would be comfortable. The modular is also a bit hard for my comfort. There are stickers on the pillows and I found them very hard to remove. There are metal brackets to hold the modular pieces together. They don't really work to keep the unit in line. Because the modular was in pieces, I was able to get the boxes through a very small door and assemble the unit in a room. Unfortunately, to get the modular out, I'll need to take it apart. The fabric is soft and so far appears to be durable. I'm not sure how cleaning will go. The modular has several different workable shapes as well as storage underneath. If you look at the photographs of the advertisement, you can see the back of the unit appears to bend back. This is an odd, useless feature. To me, all it appears to do is make the unit rub on the wall.
