I purchased this to replace an inexpensive one that we bought at a big box store. That one died because it was only rated at 10 amps and we mostly were running a shop vac with it. This one is rated at 15 amps, which is what I needed. Plus, the 65 foot cord is more than double what the other one was. Which would even let me take it a ways outside if need be. Mounting it was pretty straightforward, though I did not particularly like spending that much time at the top of my rickety extension ladder. It also has a nice stop on the cord so that you can have the resting height exactly where you want it, which is nice for a ceiling install.
