aren't only for toddlers or preschoolers..My nine and eleven year old daughters absolutely fell in love with this product when they seen it was coming into stores, especially my nine year old who is soon to be ten at the end of the month because she loves building things by either instructions or sight and is pretty dang good at it too and I would say even better than myself..lol.. but everything else is either too young or for boys so she has never wanted lego products until now..I bought this item along with another two smaller lego friends items for the both of them to play with for now until income tax refund arrives, then I will purchase the house and have it delivered site to store along with a couple of the intermediate sized friends lego items..I can guaruntee this item will be loved by both of them and played with often..I hope lego continues to come out with older girl products..Maybe even horse stables and ranch homes for girls..I can honestly say that I do not like the other similar lego building products that I have seen similar to this in toys r us because they seem more like action figures, less pieces, cost a lot more and there doesn't seem to be much building needed to be involved in those sets by playmobil or what ever brand it is..Good job lego! The only thing I was rather disappointed in is that I have looked for the past couple of weeks since this product came out in our local Walmart store and the house itself has yet to hit their shelves..I would much rather not have to order it online and have it delivered site to store..I would like to be able to go in and pick it up at my convenience.. I would like and my children would also love to see more come out on shelves for the girls who are above the 7 year old age range!
