Great concept and styling but subpar quality

I was genuinely surprised that an item from Daytimer was such mediocre quality. The tote is a nice size for a student or for work or travel, and the reversible black & pink sides are a neat feature. Love the 2 pockets too. BUT the faux leather handles were twisted right out of the box, loose threads on the side seams and pockets and some places had crooked stitching. This could be such a great bag ! i got it on Clearance for ~$10 so I will keep it but no way is this worth the regular price. I trimmed off the threads and hung the bag over a doorknob with a a few paperback books in it, to smooth out the handles.
