I was IT for many years, but that doesn't necessarily mean I know all there is about computers. I don't follow all too closely. However, I know enough about which specs to pay attention to when looking for a computer. For the price, this is a real winner. What really caught my attention and was a perquisite of mine was backlit keyboard. My older one I'm replacing has a backlit keyboard. Also, the amount of memory being 16GB was a plus with most laptops at this price point generally have either 4gb or 8gb, bingo! Although the SSD HD is only 512gb instead on 1 terabyte is not a deal killer, you can always get an external drive of sorts. One of the best offerings here is it comes with Windows 11 Pro, WOW! I like the 15.6" screen, same as my older one too, and didn't want to go smaller to a 14". In my humble opinion, this is a great deal for the price. I've had this one now for a couple months with zero issues. Setup was super easy too!

Over all a great laptop. Only reason I wouldn't give it 5 starts overall is because of the speakers. Even at full volume it isn't very loud so trying to listen to things with any background noise makes it very difficult to hear. Other than that it works great, I primarily use it for google docs/google drive to write and never have issue with it lagging or running slow.
