High quality, no pressboard, great fit and finish
This is a great looking unit that when completed. Looks like something you would buy in any high-end furniture store. It's made almost entirely of real pine wood and not cheap pressboard. It is very sturdy with high-quality paint and excellent fit and finish. It holds a queen size mattress (not included) and the mattress compartment raises and lowers with ease. It holds a mattress up to 12 inches thick. If you buy this, when you are done assembling it you won't be disappointed. Be aware the construction process is not for the faint of heart. The instructions are based almost completely on pictures and they can be confusing. As a result I had to disassemble various parts I had already completed as I went through the assembly process because I didn't properly understand the pictures and improperly assembled them the first time. I am a pretty mechanical guy with construction experience rebuilding houses as well as performing car mechanic work and it took me 14 hours to build this thing without help.
