This rug falls into the medium pile category, so it's not overly thick or hefty. I'd suggest investing in a rug pad like Mohawk Home or a similar option to add some extra cushioning. It does take about a week to settle completely flat after being laid out.

Yes, it's thin, but it's also very affordable, so I can't complain. The colors are fantastic, and I'm pleasantly surprised by how soft it is. It flattened out in a couple of days with some books weighing down the edges. I'm very happy with this purchase.

While the design and color weren't an exact match to what I expected – a tad more faded than depicted – it's still a lovely choice for a novice rug. The size (5'3x7'7) is an ideal fit for our generously sized living room. Overall, I'm quite pleased with this purchase!
