This was my first purchase of Sesame Oil. It was fresh. It wasn't close to the expiration date. Best of all it was organic. Please keep in mind this is a 8oz bottle. I wished the oil was in a dark amber bottle. This bottle could be reused. The glass is thick and heavy.
