wok the heck?
This has to be washed (hot water) and seasoned before using. Flat bottom is the way to go with modern induction or electric stove tops. This wok is about as good as it gets if you are looking for authentic Chinese food at home, lid is extra, but a nice to have and you'll want to upgrade the spatula. Good deal for a real 14 inch Cantonese style wok: all you really need short of a good cookbook. The smoky caramelized flavor the Chinese call "wok hey" (breath of the Wok) can only be achieved at very high temperatures in a well seasoned wok. There is a good reason Woks have remained relatively unchanged for thousands of years. Perfect example of less is more; get a good clever, and turn the exhaust fan on high. Great rig for camping also.
