Way too small for my trailer

Since the ad said for a trailer I assumed the clips would be large enough to clip onto a standard boat trailer. Maybe I missed something in the ad but as far as I could tell there was no mention that the clips fit extremely small (thin metal) trailers. My trailer is for an 18 ft boat......not big in the trailer world. These clips were not even close to being able to clip on to the metal. I would say they are about 1/2 the size of the clips I was replacing. Again maybe I missed something in the ad but I cannot image how flimsy a trailer would have to be built in order for these clips to fit.
