The wheelbase is very short. For a six year old, only one foot fully fits on the base. The second foot, only the toes fit on the base, so a safety hazard for older kids. The top age for this should really be 6 years old. Seems designed for maybe a 3 to 6 age range. Otherwise, it seems sturdy enough for the younger ages.
