This is built rigid, I use this for First Class Mailing USPS

This is a more rigid chip board ( type of paper) than the USPS offers but theirs are free, for mailing of Priority mail only through the Post-Office. When I needed a mailing envelope for First class. I was impressed about the quality of this product. I purchased this at Wal-mart, I would recommend this for your mailing needs without any problems, I do however no matter what brand of envelope it is tape all seams, because on the mechanical process the mail runs through; it is tough on mail.

Reliable and resists bending/folding

Ive used this specific envelope for years to mail out artwork for my commissioners. Only once have I ever had an issue and it was with the glue adhesive by itself: I mailed several pieces of art in one mailer, using only the provided glue strip to bind the envelope closed, and it opened during shipment. Luckily the art was fine and all accounted for, but now I add on a strip of clear packing tape to be on the safe side! The envelope itself if incredibly sturdy and the perfect size for your average 8.5"x11" paper. All in all this is by far the best envelope to use if you have fragile paper documents or just want to be safe!

Great features - but hard to find!!

I have used the CD mailer (5 3/4 in x 8 1/4 in) for a couple of years. I am now finding those mailers non-existant in Wal-Mart (zip 30253). Employees now tell me they haven't seen that size in a long time and cannot explain to the customer why. They blame the vendor. They are perfect for mailing CDs or photos. I have never had a CD broken in mailing. I do tape the closing flap as an extra measure. If you find these, they are the perfect solution for your mailing preferences. I give the mailers an A++
