pretty darn good!

I normally don't like these pre builds. the peg with the twisting cap is usually not too sturdy on things like these but this one went together pretty darn well. it seems fairly sturdy and looks good. there's some clever engineering in the build. one of the best Chinese made book shelves I've dealt with. instructions could have been a bit better but it's easy enough to figure out.

Good sturdy shelf

It is well packaged so the pieces come looking good, no scratches or dents. Some of the assembly instructions were a little off (picture had a line on the wood wrong in relation to the nail and one shelf didn't instruct you to add a screw but you could figure out since a hole was empty, and the instructions for the “g” bracket didn't exactly tell you which direction to place it) but other than that, the shelf looks nice and seems sturdy based on the extra brackets and materials (not cardboard like some shelf backings I've seen) all the holes align nicely. I assume it's some sort of composite material but every edge is covered in white and looks nice.
