The rug is so soft! My son layed on it the other day and said he wants to sleep on it. Can't remember if it was waterproof, but water beads up on it. It does not shift on our tile floor unless you try pretty hard to move it. Have not tried to wash it yet. Overall, highly recommend, especially for the price.
