1- The dimensions for the 3 tier are as written in the illustration, NOT as written in the description. This stack-able bin system from China is just over 11", front to back (exactly what I wanted). 2- I suggest you remove the green tape that affixes to the doors before you begin to assemble the boxes - that will make doing so a lot easier . This system is, as I have found all stack-able/collapsible bin/box systems made in China (and this is the sixth for my very small apartment), very easy to assemble and does exactly what it says it will.

I spent a few minutes trying to figure out how to get the wheels mounted on the bottom tote after that this gal had the whole thing setup in under 10 minutes. Now I feel like a pro it's so easy. The stack navigates on it wheels fairly easily in shag carpet. The construction is not cheap or flimsy. The totes are easily accessible through the front opening doors magnets are strong the stack is stable. I like these enough to buy to more sets
