We recently purchased the DIAMOND ART CLUB® Sparkle Pals - Mickey Mouse Diamond Painting Kit for our Adult Day Training Program, and it has been a huge hit with our clients. The sparkle, color, and overall design immediately captured attention and created excitement throughout the classroom. This activity works especially well for individuals with good hand-eye coordination, visual tracking skills, and fine motor skills. It promotes focus, patience, creativity, and sensory engagement while also giving participants a sense of accomplishment once completed. Many of our clients truly enjoyed placing each diamond and watching the image come together. One important tip for anyone considering this activity in a Day Program, classroom, or therapeutic setting: close supervision is recommended. The diamond pieces are very small and often fall to the floor, and this activity may not be appropriate for individuals who put objects in their mouths, noses, or ears. Trust me, in a Day Program environment, you learn quickly to think about every possible scenario! Overall, this was a well-structured activity that encouraged engagement, social interaction, and fine-motor practice in a fun, visually rewarding way. We will definitely be purchasing more designs in the future.
