I like this modem/router a LOT! It performs! I have been struggling for the past 2 years with a Spectrum supplied Technicolor modem/router. Had all kinds of glitches and irregularities with it. I couldn't get the speeds and performance I was paying for. Finally had enough. I couldn't be happier with this Arris G34 modem/router combo. I have had and used many different brands of modems and routers over the years. I am very pleased with this G34. It does what it says - no if, ands or buts. It was easy to set up. I didn't use the App. I like to use the user interface - 192.168.0.1. I had everything configured as I wanted it in a few minutes. I have a couple devices that need assigned (static) IP addresses on my network. Doing that was a breeze with this router. The user interface in this router is probably the easiest I have ever used. I highly recommend this modem/router combo. I am now getting the speeds I should have been getting. I am happy to know that I have the latest technology. The WiFI 6 capability and performance is phenomenal! Highly Recommend this modem/router.

Owning your own modem
It was easy to set up following the old modem. After it was connected it was able to download to the network. It has been running at a good speed. We are hoping it lasts several years. If we start having problems with it, we'll have to troubleshoot for the problem.
