Myself as a Vietnam combat veteran from - Sep 69 thru Sep 70, found this to be probably one of the truest stories to come out of that war. The author takes you to the battle/rescue of the infantry company, by letting you get to know those veterans involved in the action. This lets you feel as if you were there, and allows you a better understanding of those that served and gave their lives. The addition of the true followup stories really brings it home. Congratulations and thanks to Philip Keith, for give us this true story. If you are a Vietnam veteran or family members, you owe it to youself to read this book. To those that are serching for a better understanding of the war and what went on. this is it. Totally awesome.
