PERFECT COMFORT FOOD
The taste is good like comfort food. I trust the safety and cleanliness and have been eating the whole product line since they came out on the market. Turkey and stuffing happens to be by favorite. They store a long time for emergency food but I always end up using for my quick go to. Try it and see for yourselves. Also children love them a real plus cause the price is good. In fact, I've bought several different types of Hormel Compleats entrees and both, my husband and I, have enjoyed them all. With COVID and nerve damage from my wrist surgery, it has made in-person shopping and home cooking very hard for me. But with Hormel Compleats, I can order them online for home delivery and then after receiving them, I can easily quarantine them in my house for 3 days. These entrees don't need to be put in the refrigerator or freezer, therefore I don't have to wash the outside containers in warm soapy water to rid them of any COVID virus. These entrees fully cook in 2 minutes and most are low calorie, too. So, our one bright spot with COVID is that we tried the Hormel Compleats entrees and they are now a permanent and enjoyable part of our food shopping.
Great Hot Meal In A Pinch
Shortly after Thanksgiving, we experienced a windstorm that caused a tree to fall into my house. While we were unharmed, the same cannot be said for my kitchen. Yes, it was the kitchen that took the brunt of the damage. For four months, I was "cooking" on a card table in my living room with a microwave and a slow cooker. Hormel Completes saved the day for easy hot meals to feed my family. Packaged as a single serving meal, the Turkey & Dressing was easy to prepare, just remove from cardboard packaging, peel back the plastic a bit to vent and microwave for one minute to ninety seconds (we had to microwave for 90 seconds because our microwave is lower powered) then let rest for a minute (I honestly don't know anyone who actually follows this step, we didn't). Carefully peeling off the rest of the lid reveals a nicely prepared hot meal. I found the Turkey & Dressing to be my favorite meal. While the texture of the dressing was slightly mushy, but I suspect this was due to the copious amounts of gravy in the meal and I was expecting this from a shelf stable "fresh" meal. The turkey was in patty form which was easy to cut up with a plastic spoon. After trying this meal in the Sampling Box I received, I purchased several more to help us get through 4 months without a kitchen. And, now that I have my kitchen back, I am keeping several in my pantry, just in case!
