The National Chimney Premier Drop-In Damper is a heavy-duty, spring-powered damper ideal for restoration projects in wood-burning fireplaces. Built from durable 304 stainless steel, it withstands high heat, including chimney fires, while ensuring reliable operation under tough conditions. Designed for round flexible or rigid stainless steel liners, factory-built chimneys, or solid-pack liners, it’s perfect for installations where standard top-mount dampers are unsuitable. Compatible with top-mounted rain caps, top kits, or other Premier tops, the damper is approximately 1/4″ undersized for easy drop-in installation and recesses about 6 inches below the flue termination.
