I initially got this set for me--to use for doing yoga or stretching or exercising on, as I need to start doing more of that. However, my children commandeered it shortly after I opened it. This is an awesome play mat set! It's super thick and has firm-enough foam to keep its shape without being damaged easily by regular use. It gives a great surface for playing, exercising, impromptu dance parties, or whatever. It is pretty huge--way bigger than I was imagining when I ordered it. Each square of the set is individually a couple feet by a couple feet; then you can put them together in whatever arrangement you like to make a long rectangle or a large square or something totally different. It also has edge pieces you can put around the border so it gives a clean, straight edge all the way around. This is also big enough to easily use it for non-conventional uses such as castle-and fort-building, as well as building yourself into a cube and then popping out to surprise people. I love the color and patterns--it's a soft gray with different gray and white patterns in patches on each square. It's neutral enough to go with many kinds of décor. I love that it comes in a zipper case that you could put the set away in and stash behind the couch or under the bed. I also like that this set is just wipe-clean. We've already had to wipe off some sticky places--super easy to do. Now I just need to get a chance to actually use these for exercising before my kids snatch them again!

Getting this play mat for my children was a great choice.Everyday since virtual school has started we have had an issue with their physical education being preformed in my living room on the tile,this play mat has solved the issue .They are no longer hurting their backs on the tile .This mat is really thick and soft so even if they are required to do sit ups they are safe and protected from the hard floor. I also like the design and all nine pieces I can design three small exercise mats for all three of my children .I am sure this play mat would work in a play room for small children learning to walk or as an added security for toddlers who are still a little clumsy. I have had other play mats before and none of them were as thick as this one. I really think this play mat is worth the cost ,simply put I would highly recommend this play mat.
