Life for the family was not easy and comfortable, but happy and simple. Dubai was considered more as her home country, where her three children grew up, were educated, and became professionals in the careers they chose. Jackie was a writer from a young age, during which time she won prizes at writing competitions, writing on weekends and magazines. Being a nature lover, her keen interest in gardening, termed her as an environmentalist. Cooking came naturally for her, and she took an interest from the age of 12. This gradually gave her the title of a ' cooking connoisseur, ' and she loved experimenting with all kinds of cooking, which again brought her accolades and prizes she won internationally. All this time, her one great desire was to be termed 'an author' and write her life story step by step. For this she waited until retirement to achieve her dream.
