Using as nutritional pre/post surgery supplement

These were recommended along with a prenatal vitamin as part of a pre and post surgery supplemental nutrition and they should aid in the recovery from my knee replacement. The Vanilla flavor isn't bad at all and I find they are wonderful as a morning breakfast early so I can get going with my day while it is still cool outside. They certainly seem to give me the energy and 'fuel' to get up and go.

The Slimfast I've been drinking for over 25 years was discontinued and I tried several other brands. This was a huge surprise because it is not chalky tasting at all, it satisfies my hunger for hours, if gives me energy, and there's no after taste or stomach issues after consumption.

Great taste

I am diabetic and found if I consume 40 grams of protein per meal and 15 grams per snack, I am less likely to hike across the street from work and grab a Dr. Pepper and chips. These protein drinks have less carbs than other protein drinks and more protein which is something you have to watch and read when purchasing food items for diabetics. I love the chocolate and vanilla. Have not tried the other flavors as they contain more sugar and carbs. If you are not a diabetic, go for all the flavors. I wish it was a 6 pack for the $9 cost rather than a 4 pack as I am on a very limited income.
