This mud and snow rated tire features special rubber free of High-aromatic oils to reduce environmental impact. Silica reinforced rubber construction improves overall grip on wet surfaces and prolongs tread life. On wet surfaces and light snow, its multiple sipes add biting edges to improve traction. The specialized tread pattern also enhances ride comfort while reducing noise.

Great Tires for the price
I bought these tires about 2 years ago after owning a set of Michelins LTX's that only lasted about 1 year and were close to 2k for the set. These tires have proven to be the a great deal for your money, with regular balancing, rotation and alignment you should be able to get at least 2 or more years out of them. They are currently on a 2009 Mercedes GL450 (keep in mind these are heavy SUV's and are also all wheel drive). We have drive mostly on highway but have also been on sand and in the rain and have ad no issues with traction.
