I'm an IT consultant (25 years now). I installed this on my mom's wireless USB NIC. Before swapping out the antenna she would only get 1 or 2 bars and connect at 5 Mbps. After putting on this antenna she would get all 5 bars and connected at 54 Mbps. The speed increase was very noticeable when just surfing the web. I'm so happy with it that I've decided to get 4 more of them, 2 for my router, one for my laptop and one for my desktop.

Antenna extends wi-fi range.

This antenna does extend my wi-fi range so that my ability to connect to the internet covers all 2.5 acres of my property. The only area not covered is where there are dense woods. I expected this outcome from reading about any wi-fi range extender.
