Food plot

I was nervous about this purchase. We used this unit for preparing soil to plant food plots for fall deer hunting. We mounted a electric winch to it so we could raise and lower the cutting depth by the touch of a button. We used a honda 450 atv and it worked great. This cultivator exceeded my expectations. Cut the virgin ground at least 6". Was small enough to get into the remote areas of the woods that had only a atv trail. It cut through rocks and roots with minimal effort. Needs grease fittings on wheel.

Foodplot magic

This cultivator is wonderful. It was easy to assemble. It pulled very well behind my Honda SxS. Would also work with a large 4 wheeler. I used it to plow a new field in a remote location. It cut through the ground like butter. I set it to dig 6 inches deep, and it never slowed down. It went right through small tree roots. Made a very nice game food plot. No need for a tractor or disc. Very heavy duty. Great for the price.

new food plot created

I've been accumulating implements to pull behind my ATV to create foodplots for the past 10 years. Well I think that I finally have found the right product to breakground with. The cultivator used on its first pass at a shallow depth will act as a dethatching tool. Once the thatch was removed and a couple of passes at different depths with the cultivator and I finally had success in creating a food plot. I found that using just a disc only cut the thatch but did nothing else with it. The only thing that I would change on the cultivator is adding a better hitch attachment to the back of the cultivator so that a harrow could be drug behind it for additional weight and to help to break up the clumps. I used this at the end of April in Ohio which was one of the wettest months in history. The soil although saturated broke up easily with the use of the cultivator.
