This is a gun cabinet, not a safe. The metal is not that thick. But for my needs, I am very satisfied. I would recommend it. I am happy with the price I paid ($170). It was a good value for the money. It's very functional and the lock works very well, including the fingerprint reader. It is accurate and can tell the difference between fingers and people. It was not difficult to assemble. The light built into the door is very dim.
