This dedicated wine refractometer is used to measure the sugar content of grape juice during the brewing process (see the Brix scale on the left). Then, based on the sugar content of the grape juice, we can understand the alcohol concentration of the brewed wine.

It can measure both the sugar content of grape juice and the alcohol concentration of wine.

It cannot be used to test the alcohol concentration of finished wine.

It is equipped with automatic temperature compensation (ATC), so the refractometer can automatically adjust to correct for temperature differences in the ambient temperature.

How to use:

1. Align the cover with the light and Adjust focal length until the scale is clearly visible.

2. Calibration: Accurate measurement depends on careful calibration. Please make sure the ambient temperature is about 68°F, distilled water can be used for calibration.

A. Open the cover. Put 2-3 drops of distilled water on the prism, then close the cover, make sure the water is distributed on the prism without any bubbles or dry spots. Wait about 30 seconds for the reading to stabilize. Look into the eyepiece and use a screwdriver to turn the calibration screw until the reading is "0"

3. Clean the prism with a soft cloth, then drop 2-3 drops of the liquid sample to be tested on the prism. Then close the cover and make sure the water is distributed on the prism without any bubbles or dry spots. Wait about 30 seconds for the reading to stabilize. Align the prism assembly with the light source. Look into the eyepiece to get the reading.

4. Please place the refractometer in a dry, clean box to ensure accurate readings and durability.
