Acme Furniture Louis Philippe 2 Drawer Nightstand

I would recommend this night stand to a friend for a small child's room. My teenage son has a full size bed and it dwarfs this night stand. The two drawers are convenient but they do not hold much- the actual inside space is much smaller than it appears to be. The wood color is a darker cherry. I would recommend that buyer's pay close attention to the measurements and try to visualize the size in the space it will occupy before purchasing. Added an additional star because it comes in one piece (no assembly necessary) and it was packed quite well. Will return for a larger sized night stand.

There is some good and bad with this nightstand. It is a very attractive piece and seems solid. It is mostly real wood and it comes assembled and well packed. The color of mine was darker than the picture. Almost a black cherry instead of the dark brown cherry shown in the pic. It also appears to me in the pic that the drawer pulls are antique bronze or antique silver, but the pulls on mine are charcoal gray, nearly black. I was going to replace mine with polished brass pulls anyway to match other furniture in the bedroom so that didn't matter to me. Although the piece seems well put together and sturdy, the legs on mine aren't level. When I sat it on a flat hard floor, like the garage or my kitchen, it wobbled and the 4 corners aren't all on the ground at the same time. I use it in a carpeted bedroom though so it's not a problem for me. However, if you were going to use this one on a hardwood floor you would have to put something under the legs to level them or it would wobble. Of course they may not all be like that. Walmart has a great reputation for easy returns so if you like the look and style of this nightstand I would recommend you give it a try.
