CMS Magnetics rare earth magnets are made of high quality neodymium magnetic material, which makes them up to 12 times stronger than ceramic magnets of the same size. Neodymium magnets are extremely versatile because of their strength and can be used in a wide variety of applications ranging from holding things onto your fridge to the most demanding industrial applications.
This magnet can hold up to 127 lbs under ideal conditions, and their grade N52 neodymium material makes them the strongest magnets of their size commercially available. They are magnetized through the 1/2" thickness so the north and south poles are on the flat surfaces, and the red line on one side of the magnet denotes which side the north pole is on. Neodymium magnets are unique because of their extreme resistance to demagnetization and will only lose their magnetism if they're heated above 176 degrees fahrenheit.

Neodymium Magnets come in all sorts of sizes strengths and magnet grades are used to identify the strength of a magnet. Grades range from N35, the cheapest and weakest, to N52, the ultimate in performance and holding power. Neodymium magnets that are grade N52 are 35% stronger than commonly found N35 magnets. When you buy an N52 magnet, you are buying the strongest magnet in that size commercially available.
All of our Neodymium magnets come with premium coatings applied onto them that increases the durability and longevity of our magnets while also giving them an attractive look. Our magnets come in a strong and shiny triple layer bonded coating that consists of a base layer of nickel, a middle layer of copper, and an exterior layer of nickel. Nickel is used because of its excellent corrosion and abrasion resistance and copper is used because it increases the magnet’s impact resistance.
Magnets are shipped with plastic spacers in between them in order to make them easier to handle. If a magnet attaches to another magnet they can be very difficult to separate. Magnets need to be handled with care beause even though they look like they’re very strong, all neodymium magnets are actually very brittle and can break if they’re mishandled. If a magnet is allowed to slip out of your hand and snap into a surface or onto another magnet it can break very easily. In order to remove a magnet from a stack of magnets, firmly grip the magnets, and then slide the top magnet off of the stack. Do not stop moving the magnet away from the stack until you can no longer feel the magnets pulling on each other.
