This thesis outlines a novel approach for multi-channel publishing, set on top of METIS, a generic and flexible multimedia management framework. Multi-channel publishing in a generic environment demands consideration of both basic and advanced requirements regarding functionality, usability and performance. In its current state, the framework's content presentation mechanism exhibits some severe shortcomings regarding these requirements. The aims of this thesis therefore are (1) to expose to what extent the framework fulfills the premises for generic multi-channel presentation and (2) how to eventually bypass the existing gaps, ultimately paving the way towards a framework that allows for automated multi-channel publishing in a great variety of application domains.
