Pilot Sport A/S3+

Nicest touring tire I have owned. 2017 VW Golf tfsi. Not too many years ago this tire would be in the highest performance category based on handling. Michelin's continued dedication to R and D and quality make buying their tires a sure thing. The Continental DSW-06's I initially purchase had speed wobble and roar so I returned and received the Michelin's at no extra cost. Great decision. Makes the standard suspension setup of the mid-level trim feel half way to the GTI. Really though, it's the wet performance that really allows you to relax in rainy weather that matters most. I heard a salesman on YouTube promoting the sale of an SUV say that when customers trade in a car and have Michelin's the people at the dealership always assume the car has been impeccably cared for. Interesting.

Bought another set!

Ran these tires for 5 years as summer tires on my Camaro, heavy car with lots of power. They held incredibly well. Put almost 120,000 kms on them (summer only) and one pair was just into the wear bars. So I bought another set! Fantastic tires that last incredibly well. When they were replaced, only the treads were worn, no sign of any belt separation or unevenness. I was quite impressed by the quality at this price point.

Superb tire

My car came with Continental summer performance tires, but I do get some snow where I live, and wanted to keep some summer performance and still manage winter....a compromise. These tires are just right. They are adequate in light snow, superb in rain, and very good in summer. The only negatives are a bit of road noise (which is expected in any high-performance tire) and they are poor on ice (but you need dedicated ice radials for that). In the rare even that I throw the car into a corner or need to stop suddenly, the tires perform effortlessly. In fact, they perform so well that driving them is a bit pedestrian......no squealing, no sliding, no panic.....they just do everything well. My only moment of anxiety came in winter on ice, where I slid past a stop sign. Again, ice radials are needed for that........they performed better than expected in winter. Tire wear has been fine so far. If you need a premium high performance tire that can also make it through winter with some careful driving, then this probably the best tire in that category. I only buy Michelin.....I think they make the best tires.
