Seems to work. Jury is still out.

The light pattern isn't horrible, but there are some spurious emissions above where there should be. I don't think they will blind oncoming drivers, but that's always a worry. The bulbs produce a brilliant white light. That's not really appropriate for fog lamps. I might replace them. These lamps are very hard to fit into place. The pins are spaced just a bit too far apart. They do go in, but it's nothing like the OEM lamps. It's a struggle. A little silicone grease on the pins helps. Hint: Connect the harness before putting the lamp into place. You won't be able to get the connector on after the lamp is mounted. You won't be able to change the bulb without removing the lamp from the car. The OEM lamp has a tab you can push with your finger to remove the back. These seem to have it, but it's badly designed and it doesn't release unless you use a screwdriver on the other side, and you can't get to that with the lamp in place. Fortunately you can do all this through the little access ports, without jacking or removing the panel from under the car. The wires inside the lamps are very thin. They seem to have silicon insulation so they might not melt, but still you should open them up and ensure that the red wire doesn't touch anything. The glass is held on with three clips, same as OEM. Unlike OEM, the bottom clip barely stays on, and I'm sure the vibration of the car would knock it loose. I used a bit of weatherstripping adhesive to hold it in place, and now it is solid. I don't know how well it is sealed. I may have to remove the lenses and use silicon caulk if any water gets in. The glass seems to be of decent quality but is completely clear, unlike the OEM glass. Given the fitment problems and the very thin wiring, I tried putting the glass from one of these onto the OEM lamp. It doesn't fit. These are just a bit bigger, enough so they don't fit. It's always a gamble buying Chinese parts for a German car. Maybe I won't have to replace these, but I just don't know yet. This set costs about half that of a single Hella replacement lamp. I would replace the pair, so I didn't have a new lamp on one side and a 30-year-old lamp on the other, so this was a quarter of the price. Hopefully it's worth it. I'll update this review one way or the other.
