Sometimes you see something and secretly hope it doesn't fall apart until after you use it. Surprises do happen. This bottle cutter system appears to be logically sound potentially built to last. The frame and plexiglass construction are holding up very well. I was successful at the first 3 bottles. 4th bottle attempt I discovered that the etching blade is held in place via a metal pin, which didn't stay in place, drooping on one side. No option to secure the pin and cutting wheel blade in a balanced position for continued use and slips loose , failing to etch a continuous straight line. Final result was uneven and created large spiderweb of cracks. Concept is ingenious. Construction materials are too cheap to expect confident continued performance.
