When it came to choosing between the new Rubbermaid Brilliance and the Rubbermaid EasyStore, I combed through many reviews. I decided on EasyStore because they seemed more durable and less susceptible to cracks. I also have a few Brilliance containers left from an older set; and while I do love the crystal clear appeal, once the newness wore off and time passed, the spider-like hairline cracks eventually appeared in the lower half of my 5-cup containers. Needless to say, I chose the durability and performance of the EasyStore. I also like and appreciate the narrow rectangular shape of these for storing in my fridge. The containers are translucent, so at least I can still see the contents even if they're not crystal clear. I like that the seal on the top is nice and secure. But, one gripe I have about both the EasyStore and Brilliance is how the tops retain water inside the crevices even after letting them dry in the dish drying rack overnight. The following morning, I still have to shake the tops to get rid of any water left behind and then let them sit in the drying rack a little longer to finish drying. Maybe it's nit-picking, but maybe not. In the end, I still have to have them to store my leftovers; and these are the best durable, budget-friendly food storage containers I could find. I would gladly buy more.

This container is very sturdy and well-made. The lid seals tightly, so there's no worry about leaks or spills. The durable design makes it feel like it will last for years, perfect for storing veggies, meals or prepping snacks."
