Middleton Solid Wood Dining Side Chair Brown (Set of 2)

I took a chance and bought three of these chair sets with no reviews. Our chairs arrived today. I opened one package and was impressed with the packaging. Neither of the two chairs had any flaws. Assembly was pretty simple until it got to the cross bar between the chair legs. The screw came through the side of one of the legs and the wood split. See photo. Even assembled correctly, these chairs are awkward and uncomfortable. The chair seat has a weird slant toward the front instead of towards the back like normal chairs. (See picture next to a normal kitchen chair). The chair also wobbles. I only assembled one of the six chairs and will not be trying to assemble the others. Returning them asap.
