Wonderful inexpensive upgrade for a great camera

This will was my fourth purchase of a Cybershot since 2001. I had the good old 1.2 mg. 3.2, 7.1 now this one. It does everything it states it does and more. The size keeps getting smaller but the specifications keep getting better and Sony has improved on their Cybershoot range year on year. This little darling of a camera gives wonderful crisp, clear photos not only in sunshine but also at night. The panorama feature built into this camera is marvelous. I have taken so many panoramic photos with this camera both at day and night. I have just came back from 4 week trip to the UK I have wonderful photos both during the day and at night. The panorama photos I took both day and night turned out wonderful as well. I let the W570B do all the work for me - I basically had it on program all the time - took all my photos without flash. That is one thing I will say try taking pictures without the flash at first - the picture wont be washed out and you wont get any reflection off any glass (ie through a window). A friend of mine bought one in the UK and accidently dropped it under a parked car. The camera was in the carry pouch that cames with a battery and a tripod), similar to the ACCCTBN accessory for this camera. My friend picked it up and there was nothing wrong with his camera - it worked fine. Great little camera does everything you want it to do and more.

Awesome Camera for it's Price!!!

I've been looking for a handy camera for months now and i finally found the perfect one that fits my budget. This Sony camera is great and easy to use and it has all the features that i wanted especially the panorama view settings. I would buy another one for my daughter soon.

Small & Sweet Wins The Day!

Physically the smallest ultra compact I could find in 2011 this little marvel did not disappoint. I was concerned that such a diminutive half-a-handful of shiny metal would not deliver great shots but they are clear, crisp and full of juicy colour. Truly, the shots are those which one would assume taken with a much larger device. I wanted a camera to be lightweight to carry in my pocket on my bike. After much looking this little Sony was the smallest and most powerful I could find. Those 16.1 megapixels and incredible Carl Zeiss 5x zoom lens produce shot after great shot. I would, however, strongly suggest keeping the wrist strap around your wrist at all times when using the camera as it is so small it can sometimes be tricky to hold with big hands while working the buttons. Additionally, the incredible 5x zoom lenz seems like it would not take kindly to being bumped (dropped) when extended so take extra care. Seriously, the lens, when extended fully, seems like it is very delicate so do take care. If anything it does not seem 'robust' but there are other (bigger) cameras to buy if 'robust' is what you want. If treated with respect and care this W570 will make you very happy as it has me. The 'sweep panorama' feature works perfectly. I was quite surprised as this feature seemed like a gimmick but I find myself using it often. Oh, the Lowepro neoprene 'Melbourne' case/pouch is the closest in size to house your new toy. It allows the wrist strap to entwine in a loop to ensure the pouch stays with the camera in a convenient position when shooting. This allows you to have another dimension of grip to the little thing at a time when you are most likely to drop it! So, the very thing which makes it great for me could be looked on as a weakness - the size. I have nearly dropped it twice and my heart nearly stopped. I NEVER take a shot now without the strap around my wrist. Highly reommended camera if small+quality is what you want.
