Fox Run Bean Pot with Lid, Stoneware, 3.5-Quart Bean Cooker

This is a lovely large been pot. Well made, though far larger than I had envisioned. 3.50 quarts is larger than I need, but it's a beautiful pot.

I was in tears when my dog tipped my Grandmother's heirloom bean pot that she had left to me 35-years ago onto the kitchen floor and irreparable cracked it! But thank goodness I found this particular model! My original bean pot had the classic low-profile handles and could only hold 2-lbs of beans... if that. This new bean pot has plenty of fill-space and looped handles, which make it very easy to grasp. It also is a stouter pot, allowing it to fit perfectly in my oven on the rack with adequate room under the burner. My bean pot arrived intact and in just 2-days—plenty of time to make my weekend batch of Boston Baked Beans. My only complaint about this bean pot is the original design of the knob on the lid which too small and makes it awkward to remove the cover from the pot. This is a classic design on all old-fashioned ceramic bean pots but it needs to be updated for safety reasons. Other than this one issue, I highly recommend this authentic styled bean pot.
