First off I almost never give reviews so the fact that I am writing, says this is great enough that I'm making the effort. Secondly I'm the type who believes zero advertising claims but am willing to give things a shot when, like w/this, independent reviewers (NYT Wirecutter iirc) give a thumbs up. And wow, I put this baby on the table on the patio and got zero bites—I'm a mosquito magnet but we didn't even see a bug all evening. I'm a convert!

I've recommended these to everyone of my friends and family who complain about mosquitoes. It's a miracle device! Mosquitoes just gone vaporized poof into the nether realm within five minutes, turning it on haha. Yes the refills are a bit pricey, but use it sparingly and remember to shut it off when you're done!!!! They should last quite a while as long as you're not sitting outside all day long. IDK what their proprietary secret sauce cost to produce for the refill so IDK if they are overcharging, they may just be recouping manufacturing cost! Either way two thumbs up!!! :) also I got the main unit on clearance and it was about half the cost of a refill pack score!!!!! Haha
