Installed this unit on a landscape style trailer, works better than expected. Advice: read the instructions carefully before starting install, laying out all the parts and pieces, and then again step by step as you install. I had to go purchase longer bolts for my particular trailer that has very large diameter top rail and then learned the nuts that come with the kit don't thread on to the new bolts I purchased, leading to two trips to the hardware store. The other important thing to do is to carefully follow instructions on using the hooks in the gate's mesh to get the proper adjustment on the tension. If I had just installed the cables to the tailgate where instinct told me to, the tailgate would not have stayed down on the ground when open. Definitely a great gift to my 5'-0", 100lb crazy horse lady so she can go fetch hay without me coming too so I can lower and close the ramp gate for her.
