Not as good as the first one

Earth Defense Force: 2017 was one of the best games I've ever played. This game did not live up to the standards set by 2017; Insect Armageddon has better looking enemies but there's significantly less of them, they have removed the Dinomechs, Helicopters, and Airbikes. They have made the Carriers and Walkers significantly harder to kill; to the point where it's just not fun anymore. The game has about 300 weapons; too bad there are only 50 weapons and then the same 50 weapon's upgraded versions about 4 more times. But the thing that disappointed me the most were the barriers...yup; now there are walls you cannot pass EVERYWHERE; no more running away from thousands of enemies by rolling across a freshly destroyed city. The good thing about the game are the different classes, the Jet is definitely the most efficient because you can get around by hovering above the ground at 70 mph and you can fly...also there's an invisible ceiling you can't fly above...and it's a REALLY LOW ceiling. If you thought that 2017 didn't have much of a story then prepare to be surprised; Insect Armageddon has only 15 missions, and these missions progress the story less than Super Mario Bros., and your not going to believe the ending...there is none. Yup...it cuts off at where you think the game is about to get better; the Mothership is in the sky, Hectors of all sizes are rampaging through the city, insects are popping up everywhere, aaaaand "Mission Complete", then you start off back in Mission 1.
