Leather covering is very soft and smooth, stitching is close and professional looking, lift mechanism works very smoothly and with very little noise, size is as expected - I was concerned it might be a bit narrow - I am a large man- but I have about an inch or so on either side - given the price and the over all quality of the chair I am very satisfied- chair came sooner than expected - this is rather heavy - does come in two pieces but no problem to put together, just slide the back rest into two metal supports and you are through - we put carper sliders under the legs to make easier to move around - highly recommend you plan for this - we had to move from front door to family room and thanks to the sliders it was very easy.
