nuLOOM Gavin Luxury Vinyl Plank Safe Rug Pad, 2' x 12', Runner, Gavin Grey

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) All my rugs are from Ruggable.. Their underpad is supposed to be safe for all flooring but after two weeks, I could see a bit of darkening on my new LVP flooring. I decided to try the RugsUSA LVP safe underpad under the Ruggable cover. While the Ruggable cover doesn't stick to the RugsUSA underpad like it does to its own, it does stick somewhat. I have it under a 3x5 rug that my dog uses for traction to jump on and off the couch. I'll see how much it shifts and, if it does, I'll add some carpet tape between the cover and pad.The RugsUSA pad came a bit bigger than the size ordered so needed trimming. It was easy enough to do with a pair of dressmaker shears. It is thicker than the Ruggable underpad so is more comfortable under foot. It is also a “pet” pad and is advertised as being waterproof. I can attest to the fact it is as my dog was sick on it before I'd put a rug on top and it didn't leak through.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's bigger than your rug but you can just cut it, I tried w/ regular scissors, but will need a more heavy duty pair. It's pretty light. Top side is scratchy, like tons of compressed fibers of some sort the other side rubbery texture. I tested it by spilling water on it and it was immediately absorbed and totally waterproof. I think it would work perfectly!! I don't know about the price if it's competitive as this is my first big rug & rug pad purchase but I would recommend it and was shipped so quickly! So far so good. I think waterproof is the way to go even w/out a pet, especially if you'll have furniture ON the carpet.
