This works great after foot surgery. It isn't that easy to fold, but it fits in the back seat easily without folding. It can easily be used as a bench, too, which is very handy. The only negative is it can roll off if there is a slope and you turn your back on it.

I do not have a lot of upper body strength and frankly crutches scared me. This scooter has been a lifesaver. It is incredibly maneuverable, has great traction, really stable and compact. Assembly is a breeze. I had foot surgery with several broken bones and I zip around on the scooter like a pro with no discomfort whatsoever. The bag on the front is so helpful to transport anything that you couldn't hold therefore freeing up your hands. Go ahead and buy the extra knee pad that goes on top of the manufacturer one as the original is too hard. It's under $20 and saves your knee and shin from being sore. I would highly recommend this scooter.
